other things happening
in King's Church

You might be wondering what else there is to get involved with...

King's Church is a community in Edinburgh that loves Jesus and wants to share His love with our city. We want to be like Him: welcoming, passionate, generous and joyful.

You can find details of the other things we have going on in Church life here. Below are some of the other opportunities that we offer the young people who come to Hub104.

Young Leaders

We're big fans of developing leadership skills in young people and are always thinking about how we can create opportunities for this to happen in Hub104.

We have opportunities for young people to complete the volunteering part of Duke of Edinburgh or Saltire awards too!

Contact Gemma for more information.

Going Deeper

For those who are interested in finding out more about the Christian faith we have a Sunday morning youth group which meets during the 10:30am service at King's Church Edinburgh. We worship with the whole Church and then our own activities and programme start from 11.10am.

We have a weekly small group and regular socials together, which have included meals and trips to a trampoline park/bowling/laser tag etc. As well as activities that help young people connect with God, one-another and their community. We have a couple of residential's over the course of the year as well (see below).

To take part, come along on Sunday mornings, 10.30am at Kings Church Edinburgh, or contact Gemma for more information on the programme and social events we have for the youth.

SCHOOLSWORK

Our team work with young people in Boroughmuir High School as part of the local SU Group and serve young people and teachers in the local area in a variety of ways.

The SU Group takes place on Wednesday Lunchtimes at Boroughmuir High School and is open to all young people at Boroughmuir.

RESIDENTIALS

Young people involved in Hub104 are invited to join us at two excellent events.

In February we take our young people to the Connections Weekend Away, held somewhere in the Scottish countryside. We join with a handful of other Churches from Scotland (roughly 60 young people all together) and have an excellent time learning more about God and building friendships with one another.

Each August we take our young people to Newday,  where we join thousands of young people from across the UK for excellent morning and evening worship meetings focused on Jesus, sports, nerf battles, rap battles, water fights, amazing milkshakes (although personally I think the Hub104 milkshakes are just as good!) and a lot of hilarity!

Any young person from Hub104 is welcome to come along to one of these residentials if they wish! We normally also have some kind of discount for you if you want to come and are not part of King's or another Church in Edinburgh - that's how much we'd love you to come!
