THE CHURCH

Pray for the world-wide Church

Picture
In your Bible, look up Matthew 5:14-15 and John 1:5.
I love this picture of the earth because to me all the lights we can see represent God's people, the Church. God's light overcomes the darkness and cannot be put out.
  • Pray that God's light continues to fill the earth.
  • Unreached people groups lack enough followers of Christ and resources to evangelize their own people. There are 17,441 people groups in the world, 7407 are considered to be unreached. Pray for the Bible to be translated into their language so they can get to know God.
  • Pray for persecuted  Christians. Go to the world watch list, choose a country you want to pray for, read the country profile and pray.

Pray for King's Church

Picture
Pray that we would be a church who:
  • Effectively communicate the gospel with ALL people: children, youth, students, people we work with, the elderly, different cultures and the poor.

Think of one person you know in church who isn't related to you or a youth leader, and pray for that person.* If you would be happy to, send them a message letting them know that you're praying for them and share something encouraging - I promise they will find this encouraging so don't be scared or think you're too young.

*If you're not sure what to pray here are some ideas: pray they would know more of the joy and love of God; pray they would put all their hope in God; pray they would be bold in sharing their faith with their friends and people they work with.
